Vitro3D was founded in 2020 byCamila Uzcategui and Johnny Hergert to bring to market their revolutionary volumetric 3D printing technology developed while PhD students in Bob McLeod's lab(91ý College of Engineering and Applied Science). Partneringwith 91ý, Vitro3D has harnessed programs such as the NSF I-CorpsTM: Hub West Starting Blocks and Research-to-Market (R2M),Lab Venture Challenge (LVC), Destination Startup®and the .Vitro3D is also part of ’ Colorado Life Sciences Incubator cohort, with backing from the Buff Venture Fund,and is focused on threedistinct markets—first the dental market, then 3D cell culture for drug development, and scaffolds for human organ and tissue regeneration.
