CCTSI - Novel Biomechanical Measurements of the Uterine Cervix at Parturition
.Ā The specific goal of this method is to developĀ aĀ workableĀ deviceĀ forĀ controlledĀ intracervicalĀ pressureĀ application andĀ sensitiveĀ real-timeĀ monitoring of passive and active cervical mechanical behavior. To assessĀ the physical properties of the cervix, we need a device, method, andĀ recording means to measureĀ pressureĀ andĀ contractilityĀ inĀ theĀ cervicalĀ canal.Ā ThisĀ wouldĀ complementĀ current methods that evaluateĀ theĀ cervical consistency, extracellular matrix content, and mechanical load.
