The Geography&nbsp;department nominated her for this award in recognition of how she has risen to the challenges presented by teaching during the pandemic.&nbsp;</p><p>Rachel is a PhD student of Geography. She received an&nbsp;MA from the&nbsp;University of Colorado Boulder in 2017. Her interests include biogeography and entomology. She is advised by <a href="/geography/node/1758" rel="nofollow">Tom Veblen</a>,&nbsp;Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Geography.
