The Center of the American West presented Western author Tom McGuane with the prestigious 2009 Wallace Stegner Award in an engaging evening. Tom McGuane, long considered one of the West’s most important literary figures, exemplifies the spirit of this award through his many works, including the booksÌýPanama,ÌýThe Cadence of Grass,ÌýGallatin Canyon, and the National Book Award nomineeÌýNinety-two in the Shade.
